Jaguar E Type 4.2 L S2 Coupé 1970 - Fully restored - New mechanics - Air conditioning - 4,600 km Rare gem. Passionate and meticulous, sells Jaguar Type E Serie 2 FHC (Fixed Head Coupé) 4.2 L completely restored, of American origin, 3rd hand, first registration in February 1970 in New York, LHD (Left Hand Drive). Vehicle in superb condition (midnight blue / cinnamon interior), Matching Numbers, 3 double-barrel Weber carburetors (265 hp), no maintenance required for 12 months (untested, serviced in Nov. '23). Purchase for enthusiasts, collectors or investors in view of the increasing value of this model, its rare condition and complete history (purchase and restoration invoices including 700 photos per restoration stage, and Jaguar Heritage certificate dated Feb. 17, 1970). Confirmed by an expert appraisal (2021), attesting to the authenticity of the original mechanical elements (matching), and the quality of the restoration. Numerous photos / file and additional details available on request. History: Delivered new in February 1970 to New York, this Jaguar Type E remained there for 14 years, before going to its second owner in Pennsylvania for 32 years (1984-2016). Imported in January 2017 by its 3rd and current owner. Extremely rare configuration in "Dark Blue" (color of the year 1970) and Cinnamon interior (original color) with air-conditioning (standard and refurbished). Appraised in 2021, Matching Numbers (Jaguar Heritage certificate): engine, gearbox, chassis, bodywork. Fully restored by a recognized Jaguar professional in France (contact on request). Automatically activated electric fan ensures stable engine temperature even in traffic jams. The 4.2 L engine delivers more low-end torque, making for a smoother, more refined driving experience than previous models equipped with the 3.8 L engine. Performance is just as sensational as before (test videos available on request). Powertrain All original mechanical components have been overhauled and restored from A to Z (steering, clutch, engine block, carburetion, new wiring harness).
