An emblematic coupé from the 70s, with very few kilometers and very rare in this condition!

• Thanks to its beautiful lines inspired by the early FORD Mustang and CHEVROLET Camaro, and its reduced dimensions, the CELICA coupé, derived from a mid-size sedan, was to be a resounding international success. Presented at the 1970 Tokyo Motor Show, the CELICA was one of TOYOTA's key assets in its global development strategy! It also democratized sporty styling, following in the footsteps of the superb 2000 GT ... driven by James BOND in 1967! This model was to have derivatives in world competitions, notably in the capable hands of the talented French driver Jean-Luc THERIER!

• A high-performance, sturdy 4-cylinder engine with twin carburetors, rated at 1600 cm3 and 100 hp, is combined with a mechanical 5-speed gearbox - one of the first of its kind! This type TA22 Grand Luxe model is perfectly equipped for its era, as shown in the various photos, particularly the dashboard.
• This ROUGE 301 is in a rare state of preservation: it was built in 1973 and sold new in Lille (we even have the invoice from the time!) to the current owner's father-in-law, who then took it under his protective wing. So it never left the family! In 2022, it underwent a body overhaul and a complete, meticulous paint job by a professional. The color is original. All hollow bodies have been treated at the same time. It is of course MATCHING NUMBERS!
• The owner, an enthusiast and lover of beautiful vehicles (varied and of all scales!) has owned this rarity since 1996, with a complete and rigorous follow-up. No work is required, but a final overhaul is planned prior to sale.
• Some routine work has been carried out in recent years, with associated invoices available and original parts used: fuel pump, exhaust, hoses, 165/13 tires in particular.
