Seller's Note
Société des Automobiles Sigma is a small French manufacturer, Mr Valade, established in 1913 at 63 route de la Révolte, Levallois-Perret. Sigmas are renowned for their sporty looks and durability. They were successfully imported into England, a country that appreciated this type of automobile. The first models, 8 and 20 hp, were in fact assembled from chassis made by Malicet & Blin, to which Ballot or Scap engines were fitted. Sigma boasted Captain Georges Guynemer as an illustrious customer! The company produced no more than 200 examples a year on average. It closed its doors in 1928....! This beautiful Sigma type OV will make you appreciate the charm of pre-war automobiles.
