Seller's Note
Launched in 1957, the XK 150 is the latest and most accomplished evolution of the XK convertible, with a body featuring softened lines and a curved single-plane windshield. Disc brakes were also introduced on this model. Production ended in 1961. The model presented here is a 1958 XK 150 DHC drop head coupé. Acquired in 1958 in the USA by an airline pilot, it remained in his possession until 1988, when it was imported into the UK, where it underwent a complete mechanical restoration, with the addition of electric power steering and new paintwork. A 265-hp 3.8-liter S replaces the original 3.4-liter. In 2010, its current owner takes delivery of the car, and over the years will ensure its rigorous maintenance, with major work carried out in 2010, 2011 and 2012, costing more than 50,000 euros, including the addition of a Borg Warner 5-speed manual gearbox for improved reliability and fuel economy. electronic ignition and a stainless steel exhaust system.
